Here at Grafters Recruit we are currently recruiting for ongoing HGV Class 1 drivers for a very well-established client in the Lichfield & Stafford area. You’ll be required to cover journeys across the UK to the companies Trade counters delivering retail products. Handball is involved using roller cages – the trailers are boxed.

Shifts Available:

• Fixed Thursday – Monday (starting between 10.00am – 12.00pm per shift)

What you’ll be doing…

• To advise the depot of any problems, changes to schedule etc.
• To ensure the organisation and accurate completion of all related paperwork.
• Log in daily using a mobile phone tracking system.
• To ensure compliance with all transport driver legislation and with company and site policies and procedures.
• To ensure that all training (especially related to Health and Safety) is adhered to at all times.
• To appropriately report any personal injury, accident or damage to any equipment, Machinery, premises or stock.
• Ensure you are the driving force behind delivering exceptional customer service.

About you…

• Class 1 Licence and full CPC.
• Have over 1 years’ experience driving Class 1
• You will need to be enthusiastic, reliable, helpful and organised.
• Flexibility and the will to learn new skills and to undertake new challenges.
• You will have a proactive and committed approach towards all aspects of the job and ensure high standards in health and safety, customer service and legal compliance are met and exceeded.
• Able to navigate your way around the UK and plan your day accordingly.
• You must be available for an induction which will cover everything required up to and including TC training.

Pay Rates – LTD

Monday to Friday – £12 – £13

Saturday – £13 – £14

Sunday – £14 – £15

Pay Rates – PAYE

Monday to Friday – £11 – £12

Saturday – £12 – £13

Sunday – £13 – £14

The above rates are dependent on start times.
