Here at Grafters Recruit, we are looking for a key group of PAYE Class 1 experienced HGV Night drivers in TAMWORTH – immediate ongoing starts available. TEMP TO PERM OPTION IS ALSO AVAILABLE.

PAYE RATES – HOLIDAY PAY IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE HOURLY RATE. YOU WILL ALSO BE ENTITLED TO 28 DAYS PAID HOLIDAY EACH YEAR!!!

Nights 16:00 – 04:00 – PAYE RATE £17.64 PER HOUR

FRIDAY AND SUNDAY PAYE RATE £30.00 PER HOUR

• 24/6 operation operating Sunday to Friday, they do not work Saturday nights
• The branch delivery schedule runs from 20:00 to 03:00 the aim is for all branch deliveries delivered by 6am
• Whilst there is day driver positions night shift is the priority
• HGV Class 1 drivers deliver cages, totes and pallets this isn’t trunking
• HGV Class 1 drivers open and close unmanned branches and will operate as a Lone Worker

Class 1 HGV Driver you will need to have:

• Minimum 6 months UK driving experience.
• No DD, IN, DR, TT99TT99, CD endorsements and no more than 9 points on licence.
• A flexible approach and good communication skills.

Assessment

• Before you can drive for our client you must be assessed and have your safe systems of work trained, the assessment is 2 hrs long and includes a written test mainly on the highway code and drivers’ hours, if this part is passed then you will complete a brief driving assessment which includes you driving a 4×4 split box manual vehicle (this is for the driving assessment only)
• Assessments are currently am or pm starts which will be for around 2 hours.
